Opunake Primary School students who play basket ball travelled to New Plymouth to watch the Taranaki Mountain-Airs to take on Hawkes Bay.  We had a great time supporting our local team, unfortunately Hawkes Bay were too good for the Taranaki lads, but we had a great time.

Yr 5/6 Rugby/Netball Teams

Today we finished our last game of netball and rugby for the Year 5/6 teams.  All of the players and the School Staff would like to give a big thank you to all of the coaches, referees, supporters and afternoon tea suppliers who helped with both teams this year.  Without everyones support it would be difficult run these teams.

Thank you,
Andrew

Lia's Medals

Lia brought her Grandfathers Medals to school to share.  Her Grandfather was Sgt Roche 32910 and he served in the New Zealand Army during World War 2.  It has been interesting finding out about family members who have served in the New Zealand Armed Services.

Skype Chat to China Pt 2

With summer school holidays about to start in China we took the opportunity today to reconnect with our new friends at the American International School in Shanghai.  For this chat we split up into small groups to have a more personal chat.  We talked about sports, what we do in our free time, tried to learn on words in Chinese as well as learning more about life for a student in Shanghai.  We will try to connect up again on Friday as we ran out of time today.
