As part of our Global Warming work we have been talking about how buring fossil fuels produces Greenhouse Gases which contributes to Global Warming.  Milly made this amazing spaceship/plane for homework to show different vehilces that burn fossil fuels.

Sharna's Holiday!

Sharna has been away on holiday to America over the last 2 weeks.  She sent us this picture showing us some of her adventures.  We can't wait for her to come back and share her experiences!

We are in the middle of writing imaganative stories.  We are looking at photos of children from around the world who have to take dangerous journeys just to get to school.  We are imagining that we are one of these students and are describing our trip.  Check out the website to look at the images of these dangerous journeys.

Bye Bye....

This week we say good bye to Caleb and the rest of his family as they are moving up to Northland to take up a new farming position.  Caleb brought some cupcakes to share with us,   YUM!!!

100 Years of the ANZAC's

At the start of this term we started learning out World War 1 and the 100 year anniversary of the landing of the ANZAC's at Gallipoli.  We have completed a lot of research, written Haiku Tunnel Books and Simile Window Dioramas and well as producing some amazing Poppy Art.  Make sure you come into Room 14 and take a look at some of our amazing work.

ITM Cup

Today Jack from the Taranaki Rugby Union came into 

school to help coach the Year 5 and 6 Rippa-Rugby team.  He also brought along the NPC ITM Cup that Taranaki won last year.  AWESOME!

Year 7/8 Food Technology and Design

Black and White Movies @ Opunake Theatre

We went and watch two old Black and White Movies at Opunake Theatre.  They were great, interesting and funny.  They didn't have any sound and the only music they had was with the piano….
