Update from Mrs Williamson:

To All families

Please go directly to the school web page www.opunakeprimary.school.nz for updates. This is the easiest way for us to get information out to you during lock down. The Ministry of Education are updating Lorraine often with new information. She will post this information as it becomes available. Teachers are working today and tomorrow. Then all teachers will be on holiday for 2 weeks. School will start remotely on the 15th April.

Great Job Poppy, an excellent start to your writing at home.  Keep up the good work!  Mr Lodge

Here is Daniels work from his first day at learning at home.  It is great to see him start a variety of activites and place them into our shared folder for marking.  I'm going to use our class blog as a place to share our work as well as the different things that you are up to while in isolation.  Send through some videos and photos and I'll put them on our blog ready to share.  Mr Lodge.

Great Gardens is a 'Figure it Out' activity that we worked through to practice our measurement work on Area, Perimeter and Volume.

PRIDE Week @OPS

This week we started our Cooperative PRIDE activities.  We mix up in cooperative learning groups, completing activities were we learn to use PRIDE, Perserverance, Respect, Initiative, Diligence and Empathy.

Flipped Writing - Generating Ideas and Adding Detail

We have been full on in writing since day 1 of this year.  Flipped Lessons in writing. 

We are up and running!  Panthera 2019 is under way!

Mr Lodge and Mr Frank have been working hard to set up the Learning Cente as the new Panthera Classroom.  Only 4 more sleeps!  Exciting!
