Homework and 'Chunk of the Week.' Week 6.

Week 6's Chunk of the Week is 'sk'  In the comments below, write a word for the chunk of the week. You will get house points for every comment that you leave.  Put your word into a sentence to get bonus points!


Well last week was certainly a busy week.  It was great to catch up with a lot of Room 14 parents at the MOA Awards and Gala Day.  It was great to see a large number of people out to support the children at our school.  This week we start the 'Skills for Life' programme run by Sport Taranaki.  This is a once per week lesson where students learn a variety of different offense and defense skills that can be used across a variety of sports.  Don't forget, all of our MOA awards work is on our blog, we have a page dedicated to all of the wonderful work we completed, click on on the page link above and take a look.

    skeleton-your skeleton is all the bones in your body.

    A cold trickle ran down the spine of my skeleton.

    On the weekend I went to the skatepark with my skateboard then I skate a lot.

    Alaska. I lived in Alaska until lately when I moved to NZ.
    Skeleton. You must have a skeleton or else your body will be floppy and useless.
    Skunk. Don't make a skunk mad, they smell terrible!
    Ski. I like to ski in Alaska.
    Skip. I am going to skip homework next week. (Only joking!)
    Ask. I am going ask my dad to buy me ice cream.
    Risk. Risk is a fun game.
    Skittles. Skittles are a yummy candy.

    Knight. There was a knight outside.
    Darkness. I was in lots of darkness.
    Knots. The wind was blowing at 100 knots.
    Knew. I knew I was awesome.
